ECM

The Newport ECM has been specially designed for the tear free end profiling of window and

door components, decretive cabinetry, flooring, and anywhere clean and tear free end profiling is needed.  The ECM is equipped with two counter rotating cutters that travel perpendicular to

the work piece. The part being processed remains stationary while the cutters travel across the

 part. Each counter-rotating cutter travels to the center of the part never exiting the opposite end.

Working the part from both ends eliminates all tear out as well as the need for backer blocks.

 The cut stroke of each cutter and travel speed can be easily programmed into the ECM

controller. The carriage is mounted on linear bearings and driven by a ball screw and servo

motor for accuracy and speed.
